50 years of Saving Paddington - time to celebrate! - August 11, 2014

Join us and celebrate a unique past... and a vital future

This year marks the 50th Anniversary since a dedicated group of residents formed The Paddington Society with a vital mission - to save, preserve and enhance the buildings, lifestyle and community that is now this unique village in Australia.

We hope you will help us celebrate by joining us on Monday 11th August at our Anniversary Celebratory Dinner held in the beautifully restored Paddington Town Hall.

It would be great to see you there.  We are inviting all members of this unique village, past members of the society, friends and activists to come, mingle and share stories and past times  over a drink followed by a feast at this community celebration.

His Excellency the Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove are our Guests of Honour.  Living Legend, actor Jack Thompson son of our founding members John and Pat is our Guest Speaker.

Come by yourself or bring your spouse, partner or friend, or perhaps round up a table of ten.  But please come!  The cost is $110 for members and $115 for non-members.

Included are pre-dinner drinks, and wine with dinner.  Starting at 7pm with cocktails and canapés followed by dinner, anecdotes and speeches.  We hope you will join the excitement of this celebration.  If you are unable to attend you can show your support with a donation to help fund the costs of this milestone event.
